16-17 Welcome Letter
2016-2017 School Year
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to Lincoln Middle School, the home of the “Lincoln Lions”. Remember to complete your child’s registration for Lincoln Middle School by following the directions mailed to you during the summer. Computers will be available at Lincoln Middle School on August 12, 15, 16, and 19 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. if you do not have access to a computer.
There is a variety of important information you can find on our website as well as through the registration process. Take your time and read over the material, hopefully it will answer all your questions and provide you information about our school. Complete and return any items on textbook distribution/orientation day or make up day (or to the office on the first day of school if you miss the assigned days). ALL STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO THEIR 1st period class at 8:10 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016.
I hope you find this information helpful in acquainting you with Lincoln Middle School.
Lincoln will be using School Agendas again this year. Agendas are basically student planners (like a day planner) that will include the student/parent/guardian handbook, helpful study tidbits for students, a calendar to write down homework assignments, and an opportunity for teachers and parents/guardians to communicate. Students will use the agendas to write down their daily assignments and to help them stay organized. Each agenda costs the school $10.00, so we're asking for a $10.00 donation to cover the costs. Agendas will be available at Textbook Distribution/Orientation.
Assistant Principal Kevin Baker and I look forward to seeing you at the PTA second day of school coffee in the multi-use room at 8:30 a.m. We also look forward to you attending monthly PTA meetings, our Open House and volunteering at school as often as your schedule permits. Please post the Lincoln Middle School calendar of events in a central location to stay informed on different events throughout the school year. Through school loop, a weekly newsletter called the Lions Roar will be emailed keeping you updated on the latest news at Lincoln Middle School. Stay informed by reading this great piece of communication.
Mr. Baker and I look forward to meeting our new families and our continuing families at the Lincoln Middle School welcome back pot luck picnic the Saturday, August 20 from 11:30-2:00.
Have a wonderful school year!

Students are randomly placed in a cohort, and that cohort moves through the rotation of the wheel every six weeks.
