School Climate Parent Survey

How is our school doing?  Does your school feel safe? Are your children motivated to learn? Are families well informed?  Please give us your feedback! We are conducting a school climate survey developed by WestEd and the state Department of Education. The survey, which is entirely confidential, will help us identify ways to improve the quality and character of the environment in which our children learn, play, develop, and socialize on a daily basis. Parent and guardian input is crucial to the usefulness of this survey – we truly need to hear from you! The survey takes 15 to 30 minutes to complete and is a wonderful opportunity for you to give feedback on topics including physical and emotional safety, learning supports, and school connectedness.

You can complete the survey on our website https://alamedausd-ca.schoolloop.com/LMS between March 17 and April 17.  Please make sure to enter your school code:  WF37CV  Please take the survey sooner, rather than later, so you don’t forget!  For questions, please contact cmedina@alameda,k12.ca.us.  For more information, about the survey, go to http://csps.wested.org/.  A landing page for your school’s parent survey was created on the AUSD website and can be found under https://alamedausd-ca.schoolloop.com/Schools

The survey is also available in print in Tagalog, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Farsi (Persian), German, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Lao, Continental Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Chinese, Samoan, Somali, Urdu, Western Armenian, and Eastern Armenian.  District staff mailed a copy of translated surveys to families who designated a language other than English as their primary home language. Those hard copies can be returned to the main office.

Carpool to School
Car traffic on Fernside is our #1 safety concern! If you must drive your child to school, please consider teaming up with neighbors to organize a three-kid carpool. Less driving = Less stress. Fewer cars on Fernside = Fewer traffic hazards. Yay!
